Information about the town and/or neighborhood	Vélez–Málaga is a coastal city located in the province of Málaga in the South of Spain. Tourism, agriculture (tropical fruits as its principal and most important economic support) and fishing are the main sources of the economy of the city. It is also well conected to other important cities such as Málaga or Granada by train, bus, or even by plane due to the airport of Málaga. This city has a great variety of places to have fun and enjoy its culture: the local Library, the theatre, museums, exposition rooms, monuments and important landkmarks as The Fortress, the Church of St. María and its museum of “Semana Santa” open to the tourism and to the public in general. It also has a Sport centre, a local indoor swimming pool and a big football pitch. The outdoor natural space is also very special. It gives the opportunity of doing activities such as trekking, hiking, water sports and activities for relaxing. The city also offers a great variety of bars and restaurants to taste its typical products and traditional meals. For more information, it is possible and useful to visit the Tourism office.
